n respect of the additional Homes planned can I ask why the Ea is not assessing whether the two streams mentioned can in fact cope. Especially as the 2023 electrofishing of thornton beck Showed no salmonids present yet now that YW have bypassed the faulty inlet works the spills have reduced and salmonids are returning. What this has proven to us is that such a small stream cannot sustain salmonids whilst dry, early and other OK is it spills of sewage are regularly occuring. Added to this is the fact that during the WINEP REVIEW in 2024 the EA told YW to take out the plans to increase phosphate removal plant capacity for the Pickering works. Since when YW have objected the subsequent planning applications to build more homes. Given the current legal issues and the court orders requiring improved POM and HRBMP in so as it concerns the UCB one could be forgiven for thinking the EA is still waiting for pollution before it acts. What steps will the EA now take to ascertain that the COSTA can or cannot cope with increased pollution from a 30% planned increase in sewage from Pickering
